I have been privileged to fish over 35 years in Western Oregon and these are the places I have fished and am familiar with...
Starting from the North:
The Salmon River above Lincoln City from the 101 bridge to the old hatchery.
The Siletz River at Siletz downriver to Cedar Creek.
Yaquina Bay at Newport to Toledo.
The Alsea from Drift Creek to the town of Alsea.
The Siuslaw from Wildcat Creek to Stagecoach Road. From the jetty to Mapleton. From Mapleton to the confluence of Lake Creek and the Siuslaw.
The Smith River from Riverside Boat Ramp (tidewater) to the falls.
The Umpqua River from the ocean to the North Umpqua at Steamboat.
Tenmile Creek (Lakeside) from the lakes to the mouth.
Coos Bay from the jetty to the sturgeon hole upriver from 101.
The Sixes River from the store six miles upriver.
The Elk River from 101 to the hatchery.
The Rogue River from Lost Creek Reservoir to Shady Cove.
The Rogue River from the mouth to Foster Bar.
The Chetco River from Tide Rock to Loeb Park.

In the Willamette Valley:
The Willamette below Oregon City Falls.
The Middle Fork of the Willamette from Dexter Dam to Springfield. From below Oakridge to Black Canyon Park.
The Mckenzie from Armittage Park to Leaburg Dam. From Leaburg Dam to Silver Creek.
The Row River from Dorena Reservoir to the confluence with the Coast Fork below Cottage Grove.
The Row River above Dorena to Rujada Park.
The Coast Fork from Cottage Grove Reservoir to Highway 58.
The Coast Fork above Cottage Grove Reservoir to London.
Dorena Reservoir.
Cottage Grove Reservoir.

East of the Cascades:
Odell Lake...the west side.
Crescent Lake west side and the area near the lodge.
The Little Deschutes from Highway 58 to Crescent....to La Pine.
Wickiup Reservoir.
The Deschutes River between Wickiup and Crane Prairie.
Crane Prairie...mostly near the mouth of the Deschutes at Cow Meadows.
The Deschutes above Crane Prairie to Little Lava Lake.
The Deschutes below Wickiup to Tenino.
Sections of the Deschutes from Redmond to Steelhead Falls.
The Deschutes from Warm Springs Boat Ramp to Trout Creek.

There are many places I have not fished in Oregon. Last year was my first trip down the Williamson River out of Klamath Falls. There are huge Rainbows in that river. There is not an angler alive who can say he knows all the rivers in Oregon. If an angler can get to know a few miles of his favorite river in all her moods in one lifetime...that is a worthy accomplishment.
